ZTC Experience & Solution: From Challenges to a Successfully Built Home

We would like to share one of our most challenging and meaningful projects – a story about a client from the Netherlands who returned to Sweden to fulfill her dream of building a home near the paths of her childhood. She envisioned a timber frame home that would be both functional and aligned with her values: ecological and energy-efficient living.

Working closely with the client, we developed a custom design tailored to her specific needs and desires, and we reached an agreement to proceed with the construction. However, the client chose to place the order through a local Swedish construction company acting as an intermediary. Once we received the initial deposit, we began the production of the home’s structure in our factory.

Obstacles on the Path to a Dream Home

Production had already started when we realized that the subsequent payments, which were to be handled by the Swedish company, never reached us. Unfortunately, the intermediary company failed to fulfill its obligations. As a result, the client lost access to both her money and her partially constructed home, since ZTC could not continue production without the necessary payments.

The client found herself in a very difficult situation — funds lost, and no home. For us, this was equally frustrating and disheartening, as the house was already partially manufactured, yet progress came to a halt.

Finding a Way Forward – Together

We were determined not to leave the client empty-handed. Together, we started looking for solutions to manage the missing payments. We took every step possible to assist her, working with legal experts and exploring ways to resolve the issue with the Swedish company, which had refused to return the funds.

Through joint effort and commitment, we developed a plan to complete the project despite the complications. A year later, after a lot of hard work and coordination, we were finally able to complete the installation and assembly of the house — just as originally planned.

We were determined not to leave the client empty-handed. After the contract with the Swedish intermediary was terminated, the situation remained difficult — especially since the client had lost a significant pre-payment made to that company.

After careful consideration, the client made the courageous decision to move forward by signing a new contract directly with ZTC. From that point on, we worked closely together to revisit the original plans and reinitiate production.

Thanks to her resilience and our shared commitment, the project could finally continue. About a year later, after intense coordination and a lot of hard work, we successfully completed the installation and assembly of the timber frame house — just as originally planned.

A Positive Ending

We’re proud to say that the client now has the home she envisioned — a beautiful, high-quality timber frame house that fully meets her expectations. She is very happy with the final result, and we’re equally proud that we could stand by her through adversity.

This project is a clear example of how ZTC goes beyond standard solutions — even in complex situations — to help our clients realize their dream homes. It’s not just about construction; it’s about commitment, trust, and long-term relationships.
