This two-storey house was designed in close collaboration with the client – an architect who set exceptionally high standards for detailing, execution, and long-lasting quality. The project brings together aesthetics, functionality, and innovative construction solutions.
Structure insulated with cellulose and equipped with smart membranes with variable vapour permeability.
Open façade system with a UV-resistant membrane and larch cladding, ensuring both durability and timeless aesthetics.
Façade board layout, floor heights, and window positions were coordinated to achieve perfect rhythm without cut-offs.
Structural timber studs were aligned with façade divisions to maintain continuous nailing lines in rhythm.
Façade panels and cladding boards were pre-assembled in the factory, guaranteeing perfect alignment on-site.
Standing seam roof profiles across multiple planes were aligned so that all seams matched when viewed from above.
For the first time, a solution with a concealed EPDM gutter was developed: prefabricated in Latvia at full size, it was simply installed in the Netherlands without requiring a specialised roofing team.
Custom metal details were used to create fluid and elegant finishing lines.
Windows and doors were installed at different depths, creating a dynamic interplay of lines, light, and shadow.
No finishing trims were used around windows and doors, ensuring smooth, minimalist surfaces.
Careful planning of window placement guarantees natural daylight is accessible from every point inside the house.
The entrance canopy is built with a large overhang, supported without additional columns.
At the completion of construction, we proudly received excellent feedback from the client regarding airtightness testing:
n50: 0.14 and 0.18 (requirement ≤1.5, passive house level ≤0.6)
qv;10: 0.07 and 0.08 (requirement ≤0.20, passive house level ≤0.15)
These results significantly exceed even passive house standards – a remarkable achievement that proves our team’s commitment to quality and attention to detail.
A big thank you to our client for the feedback and to our brigade for their outstanding work!
